Mycoderm – NM Cream is a multi-action dermatological formulation designed to treat a wide range of skin infections, including fungal, bacterial, and inflammatory skin conditions. It combines three powerful active ingredients: Nadifloxacin (antibiotic), Mometasone (corticosteroid), and Miconazole (antifungal), making it highly effective in managing complex skin infections.
Nadifloxacin works by killing bacteria and preventing their growth by inhibiting bacterial DNA repair mechanisms. Mometasone reduces inflammation, redness, and itching by blocking inflammatory mediators such as histamine and limiting immune cell activity at the affected site. Miconazole targets fungal infections by damaging the fungal cell membrane, leading to the death of the fungus.
This cream is commonly used to treat fungal infections such as ringworm, athlete’s foot, and jock itch, as well as conditions like psoriasis and inflamed acne. It is also effective in treating candidal and dermatophyte infections, especially in skin folds.
Mycoderm – NM Cream is meant for external use only. Users may occasionally experience mild side effects such as dryness, irritation, burning sensation, or redness at the application site. These effects are usually temporary. However, if they persist, medical advice should be sought.
Precautions should be taken while using this medication. Avoid applying it on broken skin, cuts, or for prolonged periods without medical supervision. It should not be used excessively, especially on the face or in children for more than five days.
