Cofsils Experdine Gargle is a powerful antiseptic solution formulated with povidone iodine, designed to effectively manage infected inflammatory conditions of the mouth and pharynx. It is widely used to treat conditions such as tonsillitis, pharyngitis, stomatitis, traumatic ulcers, and to support oral hygiene during dental procedures.
Povidone iodine works by penetrating harmful microorganisms – including bacteria, viruses, fungi, and spores -and oxidizing essential proteins, leading to rapid elimination of infection-causing agents. This mechanism provides quick relief from soreness and irritation in the throat, often within 30 seconds of use.
For optimal results, shake the bottle well before use. Adults and children above 6 years should dilute the gargle with an equal amount of water, gargle thoroughly for at least 30 seconds, and spit it out. The process can be repeated every 2 to 4 hours as needed or as directed by a healthcare professional.
