INDICATIONS:
It allows rapid wound closure with minimal scarring, reduced risk of subsequent infections, less traumatic and more efficient, precise and safe. It effectively replaces conventional wound closure procedures.
Ubiklose bio-adhesive for surgical wound closure injection with minimal scarring is used
– in the closure of Surgical Procedural wounds
– in the closure of post-traumatic wounds
– in the closure of Gynaec & Obstetrics external incisional wounds
– in the closure of external incisional wounds in Family Planning Surgeries
– to seal tooth sockets after tooth extraction
– to rejoin bones in the middle ear in Mastoid Surgery end to stop Nasal bleeding
– to replace supplement sutures in cosmetic surgery to rejoin veins/arteries in vascular surgery
CONTRADICTIONS:
Ubiklose bio adhesive for surgical wound closure injection with minimal scarring, should not be used for the closure of the wound on the surface of the brain or on the central and peripheral nervous system
DOSAGE AND APPLICATIONS:
– Cut the Ubiklose glass ampoule with an ampoule cutter.
– Draw the total Ubiklose solution into a special applicator provided along with the Ubiklose uni-pack.
– Use the loaded syringe for application directly on the tissue edges with correct position of wound surface to be joined by controlled delivery and flow (if necessary use the needle provided along with uni-pack for thin application)
– Keep the wound surfaces as dry as possible and hold the two sides of the wound together for a minute after Ubiklose application.
– Always apply thin layer and remove the excess with the dry swab immediately.
SIDE EFFECTS:
1. Avoid too thick an application.
2. The heat of polymerisation may cause injury to the adjacent tissue and reduce healing due to slow absorption.
PRECAUTIONS:
– Ubiklose, bio-adhesive for surgical wound closure injection with minimal scarring, is a sterile tissue adhesive for single use only
– Discard the leftover adhesive
– Keep the instrument adhesive
– In case of accidental adhesion, Ubiklose tissue adhesive can be removed with acetone or dimethyl formamide. (Make sure the condition of the adhesive is in liquid form. Do not use viscous adhesives.
